What happens when one applies for Membership?

1) Complete and Submit Member Application Form.

2) An e-mail confirming receipt of the application as well as one’s membership number and password (which one should be changed a.s.a.p.) is sent.

3) One will receive an invoice via e-mail which is payable within 14 days.

4) On receipt of payment or P.O.P. the Membership becomes Active.

5) One can now start registering games.

How many games must one play before getting a valid Handicap Index?

One needs to submit a minimum of three 18 hole cards in order to get a valid handicap Index.

A 18 Hole card can consist of two 9 Hole cards. When the second 9 Hole card has been submitted, GolfersCard will combine the two 9 Hole cards making one 18 Hole Round.

What is the Basic Handicap Index calculation?

The best 8 scores of the last 20 games played.

What is my Handicap for a particular Course?

1) Click on Login in this Menu Bar.

2) Click Members.

3) Select Course HCap Calculator.

4) Enter the Course You will be playing.

5) Enter your present Handicap Index.

6) Golferscard now will show Handicap you need to play off from the various tees.

Course is not registered or ratings are incorrect on Golferscard !

1) Take a picture of the score card showing Course Name and Tee Ratings and send it to GolfersCard at +27 82 8915171 or admin@golferscard.co.za

2) GolfersCard now will Add or Update that Course.

3) You can now add and complete Your game.

4) Only needs to be done once for that course.

How to enter and complete a Game?

1) Click on Login in this Menu Bar.

2) Click Members.

3) Login.

4) Click on “Add a Game”

5) Select Course.

6) Confirm Club Course and Date Played.

7) Click on Total Strokes.

8) Select Tee Box played off.

9) Enter Adjusted Total Strokes.

10) Finalize Round.

11) You have now completed entering a round.

12) One can also enter/complete a round via www.golferscard.co.za

Leaderboards.

Basically the leaderboard uses the net score of games played in that day or selected month to show position of how well players played compared to each other.

Net Score is calculated as

Gross Score - Course Rating X 113 / Slope - Handicap Played

There are 2 Leaderboards:-

Club All games registered by all members of the Club for that day or month.

Group All games played for that day or month by a social group with a Club. (see Social Group).

Social Groups

Anyone can set up their own Sub Group simply by creating a name of the group and get everyone to update their profile with it.
